EL SALVADOR: Saca escapes assassination attempt

In early October President Tony Saca claimed that he had narrowly escaped an assassination attempt. He said that a Cuban-American called George Nayes was behind the plot, and that he had been targeted because of his steadfast opposition to organised crime.
